Some users reported that the downloaded dinosaurs were not loading correctly. We’ve updated them and they should all be working perfectly now. You can delete mannequins that don’t work. And try re-downloading them.

I’ve added the Pick Custom Background to the app. However I’ve noticed it only works on my tablet. and not my phone. So please be aware that if nothing happens when you press ‘Pick’ that you can just press back and go back to the app.

We’ve added Rewarded Ads to the app. So you can unlock the app without paying. It will just take time out of your day to unlock them. I’ll be interested to hear the feedback after this change. As it’s more in line with our vision of having these mannequins available to all, including those who can’t pay.

Side Note: In order to comply with the EU rules on use of data, we’ve given all users the option to view Relevant ads or Random ads, relevant ads are shown based on data collected by Google or Admob. In order to view ads you have to pick one. You can change it at anytime in the options menu.

What’s on the horizon?

Animal Mannequins will be next. I’m hoping the update to Dinosaur Mannequin app goes smoothly as it will be the guiding format for Animal Mannequins. Which will have much more mannequins btw.

If you have already purchased this app, you won’t be affected. You can still purchase the app so you don’t have to view ads.

We added 2 mannequins to this app, another triceratops and a styracosaurus.

The response to this app has honestly been less than expected. Even though we added a lot of features, a lot of users are complaining about having to pay to download. At the current rate, It wouldn’t make financial sense for us to make everything free to download. There is a cost behind everything.

So I’m thinking we have to explore ads in app. I don’t like ads. That’s why we’ve never had them. But I think its worth an experiment. Our paying users won’t be affected. If they have made purchases before, ads will automatically be disabled. Free users will get more upfront benefits, like skins and animations.

I won’t try it on Dinosaur Mannequins first. I will try updating an existing app with ads. It will likely show an ad every 10 minutes, and you will be able to pay to disable ads.

An update on the Apple situation. Developing for IOS is tough because they are picky. They don’t like lots of similar apps in their store. That’s what the hold up is unfortunately. Because of this we are considering one big app for IOS.
